Game currency calculators usually quote one price and stop. Ours derives a rate from a specific package, and which package it picks matters more than the number you type. This article shows the exact math inside the VP and Robux calculator, using the price tables shipped in the component, and points out where the estimate deliberately flatters you.
How the estimate picks its rate
When you enter an amount, the code sorts every package for the selected game and region by amount divided by price, descending, and takes the first row. That is the package with the most currency units per unit of money, the best value on the shelf. Your entered amount is then valued as the amount divided by the best package amount, times the best package price.
Two behaviors fall out of that design. First, one rate rules every input, so 100 VP and 3,000 VP both price at the best package per-unit cost. Second, the per 100 units column under each package button is the price divided by the amount times 100, so you can audit the sort by eye instead of trusting it.
Valorant in TRY, smallest against largest
The Türkiye Valorant table lists six packages: 475 VP for 79 TRY, 950 for 149, 1375 for 199, 1900 for 259, 2475 for 329, and 3650 for 469.
Per 100 VP, the smallest package costs 16.63 TRY and the largest costs 12.85 TRY. The 3650 package delivers 7.78 VP per TRY against 6.01 for the 475 package, so the sort always lands on the top package. Type 1750, the placeholder shown in the input, and the estimate reads 224.86 TRY, because 1750 divided by 3650 times 469 is 224.86.
Here is the honest reading. You only get that rate if you actually buy the 3650 package. Buy four of the 475 packs instead, 316 TRY for 1,900 VP, and your effective cost lands at 16.63 per 100 VP, about 29 percent above the 12.85 the estimate assumes. The gap is the price of buying small.
Roblox and the 100 unit column
The Türkiye Roblox table runs from 400 Robux for 79 TRY up to 10,000 for 1,599 TRY. Per 100 Robux that spans 19.75 TRY on the smallest pack down to 15.99 TRY on the largest. The calculator values every amount at 15.99 per 100, the rate of the 10,000 pack, and the spread between cheapest and best is about 24 percent.
League of Legends, Fortnite, and PUBG Mobile follow the identical structure with their own tables. Clicking any package button fills the amount field with that package quantity, so you can jump between real purchasable amounts instead of typing arbitrary numbers.
EU and US price the same numbers
The Europe table prices in EUR and the United States table prices in USD, and for all five games the numeric lists are identical. Valorant costs 4.99 for 475 VP in both regions and 34.99 for 3650 in both. Per 100 VP that is 1.05 EUR in Europe and 0.96 USD in the US at the top packs.
The consequence deserves plain language. The tool performs no foreign exchange conversion. Each region prices in its own currency, and comparing 469 TRY against 34.99 EUR against 34.99 USD requires an exchange rate the tool deliberately does not guess. Default region follows interface language: the Turkish interface opens on TR, every other language opens on EU.
Where the estimate flatters you
The package tables are hardcoded arrays inside the component. Nothing refreshes them from a store, so any price change after the build leaves the calculator stale. Check the in-game store before spending real money.
The linear best-rate model also understates small top-ups, as the Valorant arithmetic showed. Promotions, bonus VP events, and platform-specific pricing sit outside the model entirely. The estimate answers one question well, what the currency costs at the best package rate, and one question poorly, what your next small purchase will cost.
Checklist before a purchase
- Identify the best package. Highest amount per price wins, and the tool picks it automatically.
- Compare your intended amount at the best rate against the smallest pack rate to see the spread you avoid or pay.
- Same number in EUR and USD does not mean same cost, no FX conversion happens in the tool.
- Verify current store prices before buying, the tables are frozen at build time.
- Click package buttons to snap your amount to a real purchasable quantity.
Run your own numbers at /en/vp-robux. Pick your region and game, type the amount you actually buy, and set the result beside your last receipt. If the receipt disagrees with the table for your region, the store has moved, and the new numbers belong in the tool and in this article.
