What CNAME Record controls
CNAME Record aliases one hostname to another canonical hostname. When you inspect this record type, keep the value, zone, authoritative source, and resolver answer together so you can separate configuration from propagation.
A common failure is flattening issues, conflicts with other record types, and broken SaaS targets. Do not approve a DNS change from one public resolver alone. Compare authoritative answers, TTL behavior, and propagation before closing the issue.
